How Did The 2018 Celebrity Big Brother Go?

When Julie announced on Big Brother(BB), that Celebrity Big Brother(CBB) will be coming, at first, I wasn’t thrilled about it. I’m never thrilled when stars end up being on shows started by us regular folks. I see it as an opportunity few people get. There’s a cash prize, and fame comes along with it too, and that can be life changing for ordinary people. I was hesitant to tune in, but it’s BB, I couldn’t resist.

I didn’t know every star on it, but most I did, or at least have known of them. It was a good cast, as the episodes went on. It was like every other BB, you get to see their strengths, weaknesses, and learn about them. The interactions were the same, it was ruthless at times, sometimes tears, lots of laughs and silliness, and realness and game play. It was still BB, and they did as usual, lie and deceive when necessary. Brandi and James didn’t get along from day one, Ross and Marissa played hard from the very beginning, Omarosa tried to get a team going but it never seemed like she had true allies once Keshia left, and Chuck I think his strengths made everyone fear him and not commit to align with him. Ariadna and Brandi, they both really surprised me, and I don’t mean that in a way like I didn’t like them or thought less of them. I already like them both, but this platform, they both performed very well, and were very smart. I got to see more of them, is what I mean, and I appreciated it. Metta World Peace, he wanted to go home, because he missed his family. With only six days left, he had enough, and asked to be voted out of the house. He talked about the decision with Julie, it was heartfelt. Through Metta, I was able to feel that, and know why I love my family so much. I’d never want to be away from them, like the circumstances of the BB show. It takes a lot to walk away from your life, and have that much focus solely on the show and strategizing. Keisha, I wish we got to see more of. She was adorable as a young child star, and so many of us grew up watching her. We got a glimpse of her, and it meant a lot. She’s gorgeous, and such a beautiful person. She left early to breastfeed her baby, who was running out of milk. I wished they’d given her the time with her baby on set or in the house, and allowed her to continue with the show. Shannon, James, and Mark, I never really knew them, but now I do. The Celebrity Big Brother cast didn’t disappoint. Whether I knew them or not, I learned something from them, and know of a few more people.

There’s nothing bad to say about CBB. It was just as we always expect. I will watch the next CBB, as well as BB, and be happy with the show I enjoy watching and talking about with others. It’s great reality TV, the kind with ups and downs and frustrations, and maybe it even ends with a winner we’ve hoped for. It’s a fun show to watch, and though I wasn’t sure how it was going to go, it exceeded my expectations, and I’m glad I watched. I guess we shouldn’t expect anything less of CBS and its creators, they always deliver.
